All-Energy 2015 – ‘the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference’
The MAP-MEP team presented interim outputs from the project at the All-Energy Exhibition and conference. All-Energy is the UK’s largest renewable energy event and took place at the SECC, Glasgow, on 6-7 May 2015. It was the 15th show in the annual series, but the first to be held in Glasgow. The previous All-Energy show, which took place in Aberdeen, drew 6,875 people. This year, the conference had a further 20% rise in attendance, exceeding 8,200 delegates. The event proved very productive for increasing the international awareness around MAP-MEP. Aisles were packed in an extraordinarily busy exhibition featuring 450+ exhibiting companies from 20 countries. Conference sessions included over 440 speakers in 120 hours of discussion, debate and knowledge sharing. There was also a tremendous turnout for the Giant Networking Evening at the Glasgow Science Centre. The organisation’s booth included an informative MAP-MEP poster, brochure and flyers to raise awareness of the goals of the project amongst the renewable energy industry. Members of the consortium were also available to talk to stakeholders who were interested in engaging with the project and offer data.
